Research and Policy Unit (RPU)
About RPU:
The Research and Policy Unit (RPU) aims to conduct pure and applied research in the area of public and development policy of Gilgit-Baltistan. We will contribute through seminars and public events and are willing to partner for research and policy design with public service organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Development Organizations and Educational Institutions both Public and Private in Gilgit-Baltisatn and elsewhere in the world.
Objective of RPU:
- To build a bridge between researchers, academic institutions, policy makers, development practitioners and politicians in the areas of public interest of Gilgit-Baltistan
- To offer quick, but well-informed, advice to, legislatures, development practitioners, international and non-governmental organizations and public bodies at large interested in the Affairs of Gilgit-Baltistan
- To conduct rigorous socio-political and economic -scientific research on public policy matters of Gilgit-Baltistan
- To influence policy makers and implementation process on the basis of will of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan
Gilgit-Baltistan Times 
I must say its a good initiative. we can use the experiences, skills,knowledge and lessons learned to our environment and area.especially town planning, water and sewerage planning, traffic management etc.
