2nd Week of Protes in Gilgit-Baltistan – Brutal indifferent Attitude of Federal Govt. & National Media of Pakistan

Montoring Dest (Gilgit): In Gilgit-Baltistan the mass protest against the removal of Wheat Subsidy continued and this protest is considered to the longest and largest ever held public protest on the land of Gilgit-Baltistan. The series of protest entered into a second week, but unfortunately, nor the provincial government neither the federal government has moved an inch.

People of Gilgit-Baltistan, ask the government and the so called national Media of Pakistan, if the same kind of protest has been held in any part of Punjab would they remain so indifferent to the suffering of the people? This brutal sense of indifferntness on the part of National Media of Pakistan and Federal Govt. show how despicable is their attitude towards the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.

People of Gilgit-Baltistan have owed to they will not move from their principal stand on the Chartatar of Demands as presented by the Awami Action Committee (AAC) and will peacefully keep their protest. They have further stressed that in the second phase of the protest, they will move towards Diamer Bahshah Dam and will force the Govt. to stop work on the dam until their rightful demands are not met.
