Interestingly alongside the stopage of road transport the Govt. of Pakistan has stopped PIA flights and C-130 services to both airports of Gilgit and Skardu. It has left hundreds of people stranded in Gilgit-Baltistan and Rawalpindi.
It is said to be the first ever protest in the history of Pakistan that foreigners took to the street chanting slogans against the in-action of the Govt. of Pakistan.
