Chinese Relief for Upper-Hunza-Success of GB Govt.

Hunza: Following the visit of Syed Mehdi Shah the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan to Euro-Asia expo in the neighboring chines province of Xinjiang where a number of agreement have been signed between China and Pakistan and China as assured Pakistan full support in all areas of need and importance, the Chinese Govt. has made the dispatch of the first batch of relief items for the isolated parts of Upper Hunza.
The thesil of Upper hunza of district Hunza-Nagar is facing isloation since the buildup of Attabad Lake which has submerged part of KKH that was linking upper Hunza with the rest of the world and people of the area are facing sever problems as a result. Considering the matter the Govt. of Gilgit-Baltistan has requested Chinese government to provide assistance to the people of upper Hunza in the essential food and non food items. A delegation of Chinese govt. will soon handover 1800 tones of relief items to the administration of Hunza-Nagar district.
The arrangement of reilef to the people of upper-Hunza is a significant success of the Govt. of Gilgit-Baltistan.
