Media must base their reporting on investigation for sensative matters -Sadia Danish

Gilgit (GB Times): Sadia Danish, the most active women member of Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) who is advisor for tourism, youth and culture has taken a strong notice of a false case of gang rape by influential people in a remote village of Rundu, that appeared in the local media. The supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan had taken a Somoto action on it.
According to the women who was said to be rapped in the media denied that, when she was present in the court with her brother. She cried for involving her in the false case and that might have caused harm to her honor.
Sadia Danish responding to the falsehood of the case stated that “media should be highly responsible when it is reporting sensitive issue, it should not just publish stories which are baseless, rather should properly investigate and only facts should be reported”. She further mentioned that “she is very sorry for the women who were falsely involved in the case; she assured the women her full support and stated that the people involved in the making of this false report in the media should be brought to the justice.”
