[News] Bloodshed in Gilgit-Baltistan to get Water for Pakistan

Gilgit (Ulfat Ara): Chilas were on Friday the Paramilitary forces of Pakistan (Frontier Constabulary) known as FC has shot dead two people was given under the control of Pakistan Army. According to a statement by Interior Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan Usman Youns, the government of Gilgit-Baltistan had asked for military support that is why Pak Army and Gilgit Scouts have been deployed in the Chilas to control the tense situation since Friday.
In Gilgit city protest against the killing of the two people continued and rallies were taken by the political, religious and human rights groups. On the occasion the Chief Cleric of Jama Masjid Ahl-Sunna of Jamat Mulan Qazi Nisar condemned the act of killing of two innocent people in Chilas. Mulana Nisar asked government of Pakistan to attend in full and final the charter of demands presented to government of Pakistan for the construction of the dam otherwise he said that the dam could not be constructed with the blood of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Prominent political figure and member Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assemably (GBLA) Bashir Ahmed Khan termed the killing of two people in Chilas as the state sponsored violence. He referred to the Bolton Market Fire where in presence of rangers, police and other paramilitary forces of Pakistan people of tortured the whole market and damaged billions of the worth property but not a single shot was fired even in the air than why on innocent and peaceful rally of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He question does Pakistan wants water for herself by shedding the blood of people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He termed the construction of Gilgit-Baltistan as an illegal act and said if the Diamer Dam would not be a property of Gilgit-Baltistan it would not be build at any cost and we are ready to sacrifice more lives for this cause as it is more important than a few lives of the sons of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
On the occasion the leaders belonging to religious, political and human rights have demanded international agencies not to fund the construction of the Dams in Gilgit-Baltistan unless and until the issues between Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan are not settled. They have particularly they asked Asian Development Bank (ADP) to refrain from investing in the Diamer-Bahasha Dam otherwise it would be taken to the international court of justice.
Protest rallies were addressed by Jafarullah Khan of PML (N), Nasir Uddin Qureshi of PPP , former Chairmen District Council Diamer Syed Afzal, Mulana Maqsood, Minhaj Uddin, and advocate Baziab Khan Tranguft a prominent lawyer from Diamer.
