[News] Indian FO asks China to Stop Activities in Gilgit-Baltistan

India (BBC): India has asked China to stop its activities in disputed region of Pakistan’s control Kashmir. It is to be noted that India considers Gilgit-Baltistan as part of disputed territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The foreign office of India in a statement stated that China is well aware of Indian point of views regarding the region and also informed about the worries of the Chinese activities in the disputed area. The statement further says that ‘we hope China will keep Indian relationship in mind and would stop its activities in the area illegitimately occupied by Pakistan’.
The foreign office of India expressed these views answering in response to a question asked regarding Chinese activities in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltisatn.
Earlier China has raised serious objections regarding the visit of Indian Prime Minister to the state of Arunachal Pardesh which is a 1400 KM long disputed territory between India and China along with some parts of Kashmir. In 1962 China and India incurred a war over the dispute in the same territory. India claims that Arunachal Pardesh is integral part of India as it claims over Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
